Cleaning up blemishes in the Trace layer


Small areas of 'dirt' from the scan (areas unconnected with the drawing's outline) sometimes appear as speckles in the Trace layer, and need to be removed.

In conventional animation production, these would be cleaned up by spraying and wiping the cels. With Animo 2.0, you clean the drawing up by inking the speckles with the Transparent color, which makes them transparent.

You can clean up your work using either of the following tools:

To get the best results, paint the character first; cleaning up will then remove the ink around any small regions that you've painted Transparent:
